Who Goes There? Seven Tales of Science Fiction by John W. Campbell Hardcover First Edition - First Printing Shasta Press 1948. $3.00 cover price intact. Cover art by Hannes Bok including the back which is unusual for genre fiction prior to circa 1960, regarded as one of Bok's best efforts.
Fine in Fine- Dust Jacket. A fine book with only the typical age-toning and a bookseller sticker on the back board which was common with books being sold prior to circa 1960. Clothed in one of the best original jackets I've seen for this book. NO tears and NO chips. Very tiny nicks to the corners, with just a hint of edge-wear here and there, else a spectacular copy of one of the classics of science fiction.
"Who Goes There?", the title story of this collection, was originally published in 1938 in Astounding Science Fiction under the pen name Don A. Stuart. The title story is its first appearance in hardcover.

The Eye of the World (Book One of the Wheel of Time) by Robert Jordan. Hardcover First UK Edition - First Printing Orbit 1991 (true first edition TOR/Tom Doherty & Assoc. US 1990). Fine- in Fine- Dust Jacket. A near perfect copy with typical aging to the text-block with a hint it was probably read once, very slight aging to the boards, straight corners, slight hint of shelf-wear, tiny pinpricks to the upper and lower front corners of the jacket. The Great Hunt (Book Two of the Wheel of Time) by Robert Jordan Hardcover First UK Edition - First Printing Orbit/Macdonald UK 1991. £13.99 cover price. Features alternative dust jacket artwork by Melvin Grant (different from the US edition) and also a large illustration of the Dark One on the end-papers. Near Fine+ in Near Fine Dust Jacket. An outwardly nice nice copy, some shelf-wear and it shows slight signs of having been read but not too extensive. Some natural aging to the text-block bit very little toning as is common with UK editions. A bit of shelf-wear to the top of the spine and at the corners. The dust jacket is near fine+/fine-, and completely intact. It would have been near perfect save some staining to the upper back (not seen on the front), probably from impressing from the upper spine, and nicks to corners, and a tiny slit to the bottom front, else still a great copy, better than it sounds, and the only copy available as of this writing.

Imajica by Clive Barker Limited Hardcover Artist Edition Irvine, CA: Suntup Press, 2021 illustrated by Jody Fallon in a limited edition of 1000 hardcover copies in dust jacket and slipcase. (true first edition: HarperCollins UK and US, 1991) Signed by Fallon (not signed by Barker) Fine as NEW in shrink-wrap with orange envelope containing a book mark and color plates. (There were also Lettered, and Numbered editions, the first of which is nearly unobtainable at this point. Some numbered copies can be had for $1500+.)
NOTE: The original first edition of Imajica was published in 1991 by HarperCollins UK and US when Barker was at the height of his powers in regards to supernatural horror/dark fantasy. The present copy published by Suntup is the first fully illustrated edition of this book. When it was made available for online pre-order early in 2021, all copies sold out in a day. Without question the best edition of this book ever published.

The first edition probably appeared in 1866. Oliver Optic wrote many novels set during the American Civil War, often called "The Blue and the Gray" series.

Issue Points: Red pictorial boards, original copyright 1866 and renewed 1894 as per the copyright page. Clothed in a tan pictorial dust jacket which replicates the boards, without a price, blurb or text on the flaps, which probably means it was issued prior to no later than 1910 possibly pre-1900. Wrap-around dust jacket artwork, a frontispiece plate, and three additional b&w plates by Freff. The only edition of the first Chronicles of Amber illustrated. (true first edition Doubleday, 1970) Black boards in a two color blue and black wrap-around artwork jacket. Copyright page with 1970 and states "First Printing, 1979" Fine in Fine- Dust Jacket with just a bit of rubbing at corners and extremities, but still an exceptionally nice copy. In my opinion the best edition of this book, and more difficult to find than the Doubleday first edition. Probably issued in only 500 to 1000 copies at most.

Map 6 x 9 inches on rag paper (aka laid paper) sheet 8.25 x 10.3 inches. This map is regarded as the first printed map to feature the Florida peninsula when the territory was owned by the Spanish Empire areas of the New World. It first appeared in the 1584 edition of "Theatrum orbis terrarum".
