This is an early edition of this scarce book. It is in perfect condition except that the front endpaper is missing. Clean throughgout and the binding is tight. There are 5 illustrations plus a colored map. In all there are 384 pages. A very attractive book.

Charles Scribner's Sons, 1893-01-01. Hardcover. Very Good. Red boards with a green wreath on front; Gold lettering (which is still bright!) on spine. Black lettering on front. Extremely mild shelf wear, spine is straight, and undamaged; pages are tight covers are straight, and tight. A bit of discoloration to pages, but they are very clean.

Glasgow and Dublin: Blackie & Son Ltd. A tale of the Huguenot Wars. Dark blue cover with silver and gilt decoration. Spine ends rubbed with small tear at top. Corners rubbed. Dedication on half title dated 1897. Contents slack with stain to plate facing page 208, otherwise good.
