Bill Miner was an American Outlaw and is known as the first train robber in Canada. In the period after 1903 he was active in British Columbia robbing trains. He was enventurally captured by the RCMP and sentenced to 25 years in the New Westminster Penitentiary. In Aug 1907 he escaped prisons and maganged to get acriss the border into the USA. The movie The Grey Fox is loosely based on Miner's career in the west. Grauer is a recognized expert on Miner's time in Canada. There is aphotocopy of a newspaper review of the book laid in.
