There is a gift inscription to a former owner on the inside of the cover, but no other marks or wear. The paper covers are in slightly less than very good condition, with one shallow fold on the bottom right hand corner, but no other wear. Synopsis: "The Canada Company, with its base in England, was responsible for settling over two million acres of land in Upper Canada ... The book focuses on the Huron Tract and on the dominant personalities (many of them Scottish-born) raning from John Galt and Tiger Dunlop to the Bishops Macdonnel and Strachan, who had an impact on the Company's operations. ...
