Photo by Topley, 104 Sparks St. Ottawa, Photographer by appointment to Marquis of Lorne and HRH Princess Louise. 2) 14 cm b&w photo on 17 cm card. Blind stamp at bottom for J. D. Wallis, Ottawa. Rear note "Miss Wilson, sister of James Wilson (Artist)."
Artist and art dealer James Wilson (1855-1932) played an important part in Ottawa's art scene, as both a painter and proprietor of an art gallery featuring Ottawa artists. From 1883 until 1931, Wilson submitted paintings to RCAA exhibitons.
