This is the story, from 1944 to 1946 of Captain Atholl Duncan of the 2nd Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and of his fiancee Elizabeth Glassey. Duncan was a prisoner of war of the Japanese for 3.5 years. The book examines some of the issues faced by returning Far Eastern prisoners of war and their families.
