Philadelphia: Lippincott, 1878 Bound in dark green beveled boards with gilt Indian, black and gold borders on front cover, gilt and black spine decorations, 383 pp. 2 fold out maps. drawn from Mrs Carrington's journals with help from her husband, a colonel in the 18th infantry. This handsome copy with lightly rubbed covers, name on title page, missing a large part of the first map, small clear tape repair [now browned] on verso of title page. Tissue guard between frontis and tp present. Otherwise an attractive, sharp copy. Howes C175
