Full red leather with gilt edges and lettering, marbeld endpapers, inner dentelles, 5 raised bands, gilt page edges, etc. An attractive presentation binding with a signed and inscribed photograph frontispiece - inscribed to John Murray, a member of the State legislature and signed by Curley. Curley, in addition to 4 separate stints as Mayor of Boston (and inspiring Edwin O'Connor's The Last Hurrah), 2 in the U.S. House of Representative, and a few trips to prison, was the 53rd Governor of Massachusetts from 1935-1937.
