Boston: Massachusetts Sabbath School Society, 1862. Book. Poor. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. True civil war story of a young man who died on the battlefield. Written by his father. Brown blindstamped covers are soiled and faded. Cloth is worn on cover edges. Endpapers are missing. Previous owner traced the outline of the fronticepiece on to the tissue guard. Some writing in pen in the margins of the last page. Some pages are loose and starting to detach. Some writing on the inside of the front covers. Good reading copy..
