Faintest of edgewear, with bumped outer edge slightly wrinkling some pages. A tight and decent fifth printing of this account of life aboard "The Rock" for the son of a correctional officer assigned there from 1942 to 1953. Signed and inscribed large and bold by the author in black ballpoint on copyright page: "To Don & / Mary Ellen -- / Best Wishes / From / Alcatraz / Island / Donald J Hurley / August 23, 1990.
