New York: The Society of Iconophiles, 1899. Good + condition. Copper engraved portrait of Alexander Anderson within an ornate architectural frame, part of a collection by the Society of Iconophiles, Series III, Six Portraits Engraved by Francis S. King.
The Society of Iconophiles was formed in 1894 by William L. Andrews (1837-1920), "in search of the historical and picturesque" in order to preserve the historical heritage of the city of New York.
8 1/2 x 12 1/2", wide full margins, paper 13 1/2 x 18 1/2". Scattered fox spotting in margins. OCLC: 988029470 records one copy at Washington University.
