About This Item

Raphael Tuck & Sons. Very Good+. circa 1900. 1st Edition. Softcover. Pictorial card covers have barely visible clear cellophane reinforcement along spine, lightly rubbed and worn on tips. A few pages are starting to detach from bottom staple, age toned but overall an attractive and well preserved copy. Front panel has a window framing a fence and farm scene. No. 857 of the Artistic Series. This is quite scarce and an uncommon Raphael Tuck item - a charming alphabet book with vibrant color illustrations on alternating pages with two-toned color pictures - "J was a Jackdaw with only one eye, Who ate all the Jam when no one was by." ; MCF04011; Oblong 12mo 7" - 7½" tall .
