Munich: Christian Kaiser 2nd edition, 1867-1868. Hardcover. Very Good. Hand-colored engravings & lithographs (400) by Weber. 4 Volumes complete set 139x95mm original green gilt pictorial cloth cover and spine (v.sl.rubbed to edges, worn corners) Vol. I 21pp +100 pls +16pp=index Vol. II 19pp + pl.101-200 +16pp=index Vol.III 19pp + pl. 201-300 +16p=index Vol.4 27pp + pl. 301-400 +6pp=index +[2p= bookseller's list] Ribbon bookmarks to 3 volumes but supplement seems not to have one. Very clean no inscriptions on illustrations, 400 illustrations included. Plant names in Latin, and German. Inscription on frontispeice of 2nd edition. *The first three volumes appeared in the years 1847-1856, the 4th volume (supplement volume) came out in 1868. Studies of plants of the alps, covering Switzerland, Bavaria, Savoy, and Tyrol. All illustrations in fine condition.
