London: Bell & Daldy, 1872. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good. 8vo (26 x 17 cm). 152 pp. 54 colored plates. Blind tooled blue cloth covers with gilt flower to upper and gilt titles to spine. Wear to head/tail of darkened spine, edges and corners. "Hand colored" in pencil to paste-down endpaper. Rest of text block tight and unmarked. Multiple pages unopened. Occasional light foxing to text and several illustrations. Second series ( also by Bell & Daldy) followed in 1874.
