Rochester, NY: Aperture, 1956. First edition. Softcover. An early issue of this long running photography magazine. Features a selection from "Creative Photography - 1956 with text by Van Deren Coke. Includes images by Charles Sheeler, Arnold Newman, Reva Brooks, Wynn Bullock, Dody Warren, Aaron Siskind, Larry Colwell, Don Ross, Charles Wong, Van Deren Coke, Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Harry Callahan, Minor White, Eugene Meatyard, Ruth Bernhard, and Brett Weston. Also includes Beaumont Newhall's article "Photographing The Reality of the Abstraction." Also includes an early book review of Roy Decarava and Langston Hughes seminal book "The Sweet Flypaper of Life" and Henri Cartier Bresson's "The Europeans." A near fine copy in stapled wrappers with some minor wear and a soft crease to the bottom rear corner and feature an image by Tom Murphy on the front cover and an image by Ansel Adams on the rear cover. Uncommon.

All books noted as First Editions are also First Printings unless indicated otherwise. Books are returnable for any reason within 10 days provided they are returned in the same condition they were sent.
