This catalogue, released in conjunction with a lecture delivered by Anne Bromer and an exhibition, celebrates "the fine art of calligraphy as well as to praise those aritsans who practice it." The catalogue is divided into two sections: original calligraphic manuscripts as book art, and the relationship of calligraphy to the printed page. It features pieces commissioned by the Bromers by calligraphic artists Nancy Culmone, Jean Evans, Ann Hechle, Thomas Ingmire, Donald Jackson, Nancy Leavitt, Gino Lee, Richard Lipton, Suzanne Moore, Susan Skarsgard, Melissa Sweet, Julian Waters, and Sheila Waters. Bound in gray printed wrappers with a calligraphic design by Jerry Kelly in navy and burgundy. Printed by the Nimrod Press. Mint.
