London: B.T. Batsford, 1949. Nice copy in its first printing. Unmarked, tight and square. Two lightly bumped tips. Some offset to front endpaper. Beautifully written memoir of his life in his home in Wilshire between 1930 and 1945. Many photographs by the famed fashion, portrait and war photographer who later did much design work for films. The jacket is reprinted from a painting of Ashcombe by Rex Whistler and it is a nice one. It is partially price clipped and has onlyh light to moderate wear. Scarce. In mylar. . First U.K. Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good Plus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
