(xii) 247pp. Blue cloth lightly discolored, gold bright o/w good+ copy. A very readable account of 11 years spent mostly in the NW of Western Australia. Taunton arrived at Fremantle immediately after the Bark Catalpa escaped (1876) (mentioned) then worked his way north as a jackaroo to Geraldton, was a pearler at Broome & explorer in the Kimberlys. Extensive discussion of his 7 years pearling. A very interesting account of early North West Western Australia. Absolon copy.
