Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Spine working loose but still intact. Brown gilt-stamped cloth over boards, patterned end papers, black and white frontispiece portrait of the author with tissue, plus additional frontispiece drawings of "Leptopteris Superba" and "Anhalonium Fissuratum", (xviii), 350 pages, Appendix, Index. Corners and spine ends lightly bumped and worn, covers scuffed, with some light staining, text block soiled, both hinges cracked, frontispiece tissue is foxed and has small tears.
