You will have a great time with your little cousin and I can understand [two words?] looking forward to it with great delight-- but we learn to like the work of life just as it is given one to do-- and there come rewards... my time is short. Sewell, born on the Isle of Wight in 1815, was a novelist, educator, essayist and children's author. She had an intense interest in female education, and in 1852, with her sister, she founded a school at their home in Bonchurch (referenced in the letter), and later (in 1866) founded a Church High School for girls in Ventnor.
