Sepia pictorial cover, saddle binding. 40 pp. Illustrated by Vivian and Valerie Mendenhall and black and white photographs. About near fine with spine tone and light scuff and soil on the back cover. A practicle guide from packing to camp cookery and clean-up. Mendenhall was an active member of the Sierra club and in 1978 she and her husband John, the Sierra Club honored them with the Farquhar Award for achievement and leadership in mountaineering. They were also interviewed by the clubs Oral History Project and received honorary memberships in the Rock Climbing Section. In 1983, the American Alpine Club presented them with the Angelo Heilprin Citation for service to the Club and to mountaineering. ; 8vo .
