New York: Derby & Jackson, 1857. Hardcover. Good. Plates on yellow paper (8 including pictorial extra titlepage) + one plate given twice, by Whitney & Jocelyn Sc.. Large octavo green cloth spined boards (edges bit rubbed) All Edges Marbled. Half title + frontisplate of the children stepping into the balloon + engraved pictorial titlepage of the balloon flying past a volcano +308pp (includes dated printed titlepage). Brown spots to five leaves near front and a few slight offsetting from plates to text opposite. Three small corner creases but generally a nice tight clean copy.
