First edition hardcover with dust jacket, published by University of Queensland Press, 1981. Collects Baynton's stories, her novel, 'Human Toll', which is reprinted here for the first time, and also includes chapters on her verse and letters. 344 pages, 4-7/8" X 7-1/2". The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Bright blue cloth covered boards, with the title and author in white on the spine. Cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or worn, a few dots of shelf wear at the heel of the spine. There is a smudge mark on the bottom edge of the text block - see photos. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Binding is tight and square. This is not a library discard copy. Photos attached are of the copy in our inventory. We have more title in this 'Portable Australian' series.
