Unrecorded barber's compendium of diseases with chapters on bathing and hygiene. Includes over 230 recipes for treating various ailments and skin conditions and the preparation of barber's toiletries. Medical treatments are offered for such diseases as chicken pox, smallpox, syphilis, German measles, scarlet fever, and cancer. Plus a section entitled "Notes on Bacteria," by Dr. Adolph Gehrmann, Bacteriologist for the Department of Health of Chicago.
