Comments: on: In the 1960s, British Rail accumulated over 200 steam locos having been withdrawn from service and stored them at Woodham's scrapyard at Barry, South Wales prior to cutting up. This did not happen quickly and, in the meantime, a number were saved by preservation societies, with ultimately 213 locomotives saved from destruction. The latter part of the book shows all of these 'saved' locos.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
