London: Fortune Press, 1925. First edition. Green wrappers with paper label on the front cover; 8vo. 32pp. The Anglo-Irish writer's first book. An uncut copy. Yapped edges are creased, worn at crown, but complete. Overall easily very good. Day-Lewis led a very productive life as a writer, beginning with his friendship at Oxford with Auden. In addition to being named Poet Laureate in 1968, he wrote many successful mystery novels under the pseudonym Nicholas Blake. His son is the actor Daniel Day-Lewis.
