About This Item

New York, New York, U.S.A.: Harper & Row, 1971. First American Edition 5th or later Printing. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good. Plath, Sylvia. Plath's novelized treatment of her own descent into madness & despair, in 296 pages, including a Biographical Note by Lois Ames & 8 previously unpublished drawings by Plath. Orig. published in Britain under a pseudonym, this is the FIRST AMERICAN EDITION, Seventh printing. Hardcover 8vo with purple cloth-covered boards is in VG+ condition: exceptionally clean & bright, but faded to the top 1/8" all around. Binding strong & straight, pages creamy white & unfoxed. A strip across the top edge of the ffep has cut out, presumably to delete former owner's name. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $6.95 price intact to front flap) is VG, marred only by small chips at both ends of spine; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover. Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same Day Shipping on all orders received by 2 pm Weekdays (Pacific time); later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
