London, Ont.: Incorporated Synod of the Diocese of Huron. Very Good in Good dust jacket. 1957. Hardcover. 142 p. 22 cm. Sound and square binding in cloth-covered boards. Lightly worn at the spine ends and corners. Faint remains of pencilled price on the front free endpaper. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustjacket is torn along the front flap fold for 1/2 its length and has been repaired with acid free cello tape. The jacket has edgewear, including some small tears and chips. The spine is faded. The story of the first Bishop of the Diocese of Huron in western Ontario. Cronyn arrived in London, Ontario in 1852 and was appointed Bishop in 1857, after serving as a travelling missionary, Incumbent of the Crown Rectories, Rector of London, and Rural Dean of western Ontario. The Bishop was the great-grandfather of actor Hume Cronyn, Jr. .
