World Golf Hall of Fame inductee, two-time (British) Open champion and celebrated golf architect Willis Park, Jr.'s original design. 1929 changes accomplished by legendary golf architect Donald Ross. Berkshire was a three time host of the Reading Open, featuring such notable participants as Jimmy Demaret, Ben Hogan, and Sam Snead. The club also hosted the 1976 Jack Nicklaus Golf Exhibition to benefit the Easter Seals Society of Berks County. Includes first appearance of Arnold Palmer photo. Exceptionally detailed history, densely illustrated with historical photos. Scarce. 98 pp. 9 1/4" x 6 1/4". Tight, immaculate copy. Extremities crisp. Unmarked front to back.
