About This Item
From DJ flap: "'You engage, and then you wait and see' - so Napoleon characterized his art of war. The greatest general of his day was a scrambler who never had a plan, strategic or tactical, that did not break down or change the necessity in the field. He was the master of the broken play, so confident of his ability to improvise, cover his own mistakes, and capitalize on those of his enemies that he repeatedly plunged his armies into uncertain, seemingly desperate situations, only to emerge victorious, 'blundering' to glory." Book - Very Good condition. Black & red cover with white text on spine. A couple dents near the spine, otherwise minimal wear. Text is clean and binding is tight. Dust Jacket - Good condition. A few bumps and light rubbing. Back has small closed tears at both top corners and one on the bottom at spine. There is also a tiny chip at the spine. Please use photos as part of the description. 250 pages including Index.
