New York: Longman's, Green & Co, 1930. First edition. 4to. Publisher's dark green cloth with three gilt dragons on upper board, Illustrated endpapers. Full page black and white illustrations by Ferdinand Hustzi Hovrath, Stated first edition.A near fine copy with only light wear and a small spot on the foredge. The dustwrapper is present. It is a little rough along the edges and folds, but gives a near fine appearance. The price of $5.00 is present on the front flap. Scarce. especially in the dustwrapper which is nearly always absent.
The second of Morris' fantasies based on the Mabinogion, after 'The Fates of the Princes of Dyfed' (1914). A classic of Celtic fantasy.
