Rubbed & slightly worn dark green cloth with gilt club motif of "The Sheep Heid" to Front cover & gilt spine titles. Small splits at spine ends. Front end paper partially detached. 8.9" x 5.9". xxiv pp. + 85 pp. Illus: issue-guarded Frontis. + 14 pp. B/W plates + 20 B/W line drawings in text. The Trotters Club, which was established in 1882, traditionally met once a month at Scotlands oldest surviving pub, the Sheep Heid Inn in Duddingston, to play skittles and compose songs and poems. The book contains the story of the fonding of the Club and some of the poetry. Wt: 0.75 Kg. Good.
