London: Seeley & Co. 1st edition first printing, 1888. Hardcover. Good. Frontis titled "At the Bristol Hot Wells" shows Regency promenaders watching 3 in a rowboat + illustration to page 1 of the Hotwells and St. Vincent's Rocks. . Octavo blue embossed cloth gilt floral decoration to cover & gilt title to spine and cover (tips and edges bit worn/rubbed). Inscription "Green, Clifton" on pastedown. Frontis + titlepage + dedication leaf dated 1888 + contents leaf +190pp +[1]p booklist of works by Mrs Marshall (this title not yet listed) +[1]p pictorial advert for skin product and a new children's magazine. Name to pastedown and pp 110 has glue spill which affects some words but all completely readable. *Historical novel of Bristol interest quite scarce.
