London: Radulphum [Ralph] Newbery, 1587. Book. Very good condition. Hardcover. 2nd Edition. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. [xvi], 648 pages of text, followed by [xxi] pages of index, and [1] page of errata. Rebound in full green leather with raised bands and a maroon leather spine label, and gilt ruling and ornamentation. Protected in a felt-lined custom made clamshell box with a green leather spine label. New endpapers. A few pages with period marginalia. Two parts each with a separate title page but continuously paginated. Title pages contain woodcut decorations, and the text contains woodcut initials. The first few and final few pages have minor soiling and wear. The lower corner has a minor crease throughout the text. A monumental work compiled after 10 years of meticulous research and study, it quickly went through numerous editions. Printing and the Mind of Man. The text is in Latin. Second edition..
