London: Chess Students Quarterly, 1951. Hardcover. Very good condition. Cordingley Limited Edition of Tournament Books. Copy number 194 of 360 copies. Self published by Cordingley, with an offset printing machine. With a list of subscribers, both "permanent" , and just to this volume. All printed in very limited runs, less than 300 copies, and many 100 or less.

With the bookplate of Oscar Shapiro, noted American post war chess champion, the oldest player to attain a master's ranking from the US Chess Federation.

Square 8vo, [xii] preliminaries, [60] pp, tables, index. Bookplate Oscar Shapiro inside front board. Bound in green cloth boards, gilt title on front board. In very good condition. Very scarce.
