About This Item

New York: Farrar & Rhinehart, Inc, 1934. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good +/Very Good +. 376pp. Octavo [20.5 cm] Black cloth over boards with the title stamped in bold white ink on the backstrip and front board. Publisher's bright red top stain. Very minor lean to the spine; trivial bumping to the bottom fore-edge corners of the boards. In the scarce dust jacket in very attractive condition, with mild toning and light rubbing to the edges. Dance 61. A strange mix of horror, crime, and science fiction, featuring dust jacket art and a frontispiece by Lynd Ward.

Lynd Ward was not only a talented printmaker, but he was a socially-conscious storyteller as well. "Gods' Man," a modern morality play, was the work that built his reputation.
