Limited edition of 800 copies, this one signed by Spotts on Brininstool on the limitation page. Fine in a Near Fine jacket, unclipped (no price) lightly toned and rubbed. Blue boards with gilt lettering on the spine and front board. Square and firmly bound, clean internally. A day-by-day account of the Washita Campaign of 1868-69 against the Arapahoe, Kiowa, Cheyenne, and Comanche in Kansas and Oklahoma, a controversial moment in American history compared to the My Lai massacre during the Vietnam War.
