London: Blackie & Son, Limited, 1898. Later reprint in six volumes. 8vos, pp. [ii], [xii], 432; [viii], 416; [viii], 416; [viii], 416; [viii], 416; [viii], 418 + b/w frontises and 10 plates each. Bevelled boards, bound attractively in illustrated olive and umber cloth, lettered and decorated in gilt and black, olivine edges, brown endpapers. Pushing to spine ends, wear to extremities, a little dusty. Some foxing, else, tight and bright. A handsomely bound set intended to make English Literature accessible to 'the busy man'. n.b. This is a weighty set and will require additional international postage.
