Hard maroon cloth over boards. Gilt letters to front and spine. Gilt colophon on each front board. No date on Vol. I but all others have date on title page. Spine straight, binding tight, pages clean w/soft tone. Not x-library. Few foxing spots in all volumes. Each has colorful frontispiece with many b&w illustrations, charts, & color maps. Weight of all books only is 15 lbs. Few soft bumps. Mild fading to spines. More photos available. If you are homeschooling...this is the books you need! Secure ship w/track #. Cassell & Co is a British book publishing house, founded in 1848 by John Cassell (1817-1865), which became in the 1890s an international publishing group company. In 1995, Cassell & Co acquired Pinter Publishers.[1] In December 1998, Cassell & Co was bought by the Orion Publishing Group.
