Sheet size: 26.5 x 21 cm. A fine example of early chart on discoveries in the Pacific according to Cook by Jedidiah Morse (1761-1826) engraved by Callender. Showing New Guinea and the East Coast of New Holland (Australia) with New Zealand, and island discoveries between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Equator: Pitcairn, Friendly. Includes dated Voyager's tracks include Mendana's 1st & 2nd of 1595 and 1567, Quiro's 1605, Bouganville's 1768, Surville's 1769. (Howes 839; Sabin 50923) single sheet
