In the original scarce unclipped dust wrapper.'The Child of the Cavern' is an exciting adventure novel by Jules Verne, set over a span of ten years.Originally serialized as 'Les Indes Noires' in 'Le Temps' from March to April 1877.Illustrated with a colour frontispiece.Undated, dated from publication information regarding Sampson Low's Jules Verne series, with decorative cloth, the front board colourfully depicting a monkey in the jungle. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Very light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A few light marks to the boards. Spots to the endpapers. Dust wrapper is a little edge worn, heavier to the head and tail of the spine. Spine is age-toned. Some light handling marks to the dust wrapper, including spots to the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned and clean. Very Good Indeed
