Sound and square binding in cloth-covered boards, with stamped titles and decoration. Light rub wear to the edges. Top edges have a little fading. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has wear to the corners and spine ends and is rubbed along the spine. The rear panel and spine are sunned. Reverse side is tanned. Descriptions of animals found in medieval bestiaries as illustrated in stained glass, tapestry, ceramics, metalwork, stone and wood, as chosen from the collections of The Cloisters.
