About This Item
Miller was a durable dancer, actress and singer, a mainstay of MGM musicals such as "On the Town" (1949); ); Powell was an accomplished actress/singer/dancer best remembered for the 1954 musical "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." Color PS, heavy stock 14" X 11", n.p., n.y. Very good. Mild edgewear only. Original color lobby card for the 1955 MGM film "Hit the Deck," starring Miller, Powell, Debbie Reynolds, Tony Martin, Walter Pidgeon and Vic Damone. Quaint scene depicting Miller, Reynolds and Powell reclining on a sofa in a hotel lobby, caption reading "The Admiral's daughter (Jane Powell) and two show-business pals (Ann Miller and Debbie Reynolds) sing the blues after lovers' spats!" Miller and Powell both sign large and bold on the lower margin, Miller in black fineline and Powell in blue fineline. Outstanding pair.
