About This Item
Miller was a durable dancer, actress and singer, a mainstay of MGM musicals such as "On the Town" (1949). Color PS, heavy stock 14" X 11", n.p., n.y. Very good. Faint edgewear only. Original color lobby card for the 1955 MGM film "Hit the Deck," starring Miller, Jane Powell, Debbie Reynolds, Tony Martin, Walter Pidgeon and Vic Damone. Dramatic still scene showing Miller in slinky yellow dress being leaned back by a dancer, half a dozen others posed around them -- described in a caption as "A torrid, tantalizing dance by Ann Miller, 'Lady from the Bayou'...." She signs large and bold in black fineline at lower left. Quite fetching.
