Charles Wilson, 1872. Later Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. 20th Stereotype Edition, 'considerably augmented & improved and adapted to the New Nautical Almanac'. A standard work for seamen of the nineteenth century. Publisher's ( I think ) half morocco binding, gilt lettered. Front joint starting to crack but remains very sound, some wear to extremities, old sealing wax stains to endpapers. Inscription on front free endpaper 'Ailsa', presumably the former owner's boat/ship at the time. Presentable, clean and sound copy. Main text xii + 344 + Tables xliv + 359 pages, 9 engraved plates, Approx. size 8.5" by 5.5". Quantity Available: 1.
