New York: George D. Sproul. Very Good-. 1901. Three-Quarter Leather. #320 of 1000 sets in this edition, signed "Geo. D. Sproul". Toip edges gilt, decorated spine, marbled paper boards. Set includes Adam Bede, Romola, Mill on the Foss, Felix Holt, Theophrastus, Poems & Essays, My Life & Letters, Middlemarch, Daniel Deronda, Silas Marner, and Clerical Life. Contents of all volumes are near fine. Spine heads on some volumes are slightly pulled with very small tears or chips -- two volumes have tears / splits across the center of the spine (noticable only on close inspection). Set is very attractive on the shelf. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
