Hardcover. black-&-white illustrations. pp. 384, 32.,8vo,,Bound in original illustrated red cloth over bevelled boards,Published posthumously (Henty died in 1902), and the last of 'Mr. Henty's great series of historical stories for boys'. Boards quite worn and scuffed. Some soiling. Cracked front hinge crudely repaired. Lacks grey front endpapers; grey rear endpapers present and hinge holding. Binding shaken, a several gathering standing proud. A good reading, or placeholder, copy, and priced accordingly. With seven (of eight) illustrations by William Rainey, ending with 32 pages of ads.
