B&W Illustrations; 75" x 11.5", is bound in 3/4 Leather with stamped gilt lettering to spine over marbled paper. Book shows mild external wear. Binding is cracked at front. Pages are clean and without markings. Contents: weekly magazine "conducted by albion. W. Tournee." this magazine contains columns such as "the household," "migma," "the book-shelf," as well as book reviews, a humor section, and articles on a great variety of topics. For example 1880's offered a serial publication of helen campbell's "the what-to-do club," an address by emory college president atticus g. Haygood on "negro education," a serial publication of "tenants of an old farm" by herny c. Mccook, (with impressive butterfly/moth illustrations) , and illustrations of such tales as lady godiva and robin hood. Provenance- norman kane estate. Wt 7 lbs. .
