About This Item

London: Country Life, 1933. Octavo (19 x 13 cm.), 150 pages. Index. Second printing. An interesting cookbook for small meals, very mindful of the changes in cooking technology, and how the latest appliances are less likely to be found, in the apartments, bedsitters, and small homes of those who would be 'cooking for two'. With blank pages at the end of each section for 'Further Recipes'. In publisher's printed, boldly-illustrated, paper-covered boards. Some rubbing to extremities; original glassine chipped, otherwise very good. With the bookseller's tickets of Clerings of Ashford, Ltd. [OCLC locates two copies of this printing (and ten printings of the first printing of 1930)].
