About This Item

Cornwall: D. Bradford Barton Ltd. / The Arthur H. Clark Co., 1967. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Black cloth hardcover with red and gilt spine, 1st edition in dustjacket. A very good copy with light wear at the corners of the boards, the top edge of the textblock is dyed black. Clean interior with a solid binding and hinges. Opens widely at the photo insert at center, but solidly bound. The dustjacket is not as good - corners clipped, short tears and chipping to the panel edges and a great deal of scuffing to the shiny photo photo panels. 279 pp., indexed, black and white photos sections. An extensive history of the contributions of emigrants to the mining industry in the US, specific chapters on California, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Colorado
